## Our verdict

VEED is a browser video editor with a capable recorder. You can record your screen, camera or both, pick a layout and background, and read from a teleprompter. The recording lands in a multi-track editor with auto subtitles, transitions and animations. It works on any computer with a browser, and on iOS and Android.

As a recorder it has limits. It captures computer sound only from a browser tab, and you get a share link only after you export. The free plan exports at 720p with a VEED watermark. Creator removes the watermark for $144.53 a year (€129).

For a free editor without a watermark, [Clipchamp](/reviews/clipchamp/) is the better start. If you want to edit by transcript and share the moment you stop recording, look at [Descript](/reviews/descript/).
