## Our verdict

Scribe watches your clicks and writes the guide for you: one step per click, with a screenshot and a line of text. You can share it as a link or embed it in a wiki. The free Basic plan does this in Chrome and Edge and shows view counts.

Most of what a documentation team needs is on Pro. Desktop capture, unlimited guides, your own branding, screenshot editing and PDF, HTML or Markdown export all start at Pro Personal, $300 per seat a year. Teams of five or more pay less per seat on Pro Team.

Scribe doesn't record screen video. If you want video guides with a voiceover, look at [Guidde](/reviews/guidde/). [Tango](/reviews/tango/) is the closest alternative for written guides and costs a little less for one or two people.
