## Our verdict

Screen Studio is the pick if you make demos on a Mac and want them to look edited without the editing. It zooms in where you clicked, smooths the cursor, blurs fast motion and animates the switch between camera layouts. You can then cut by editing the transcript, add captions and mask private data. A share link with comments and view counts is a click away when you stop recording.

It's Mac only, and there's no free plan or trial: the app works without a plan, but you can't export. One plan covers everything at $108 a year or $29 a month. Share links only take videos up to 30 minutes, so longer recordings have to go out as files.

On Windows, or if you need a multi-track editor with quizzes and captions for training, look at [Camtasia](/reviews/camtasia/). For other options, compare it with [Cap](/reviews/cap/).
