## Our verdict

Riverside is a studio for recording conversations. Each person is recorded as a separate track, screen shares become their own track, and the editor lets you cut by transcript, add captions and arrange tracks on a timeline. After a session you can share a link that anyone can watch without an account.

As a screen recorder it is a side feature. Screen shares record at up to 1080p, and on a Mac computer sound comes only from a browser tab. The free online recorder needs no sign-up but stops at 30 minutes. The studio starts with Pro at $288 a year.

If you mostly record your screen alone, [Descript](/reviews/descript/) gives you 4K on Mac and a share link the moment you stop. For free recording and editing without a watermark, try [Clipchamp](/reviews/clipchamp/).
