Clipchamp is the most generous free editor here. You can record your screen and camera, edit on a timeline with subtitles and effects, and export at 1080p with no watermark and no limit on the number of videos. It runs in Edge or Chrome on Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebooks, and as an app on Windows.

The recorder is basic. Each recording stops at 30 minutes, and on a personal account it records computer sound only from a browser tab. There is no Clipchamp share link; you save the export to OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or YouTube. Paying for Microsoft 365 adds 4K export and premium stock, not a longer recorder.

If you need a link the moment you stop recording, Loom or Descript do that. For long recordings with full system audio, OBS Studio is free and has no time limit.
